79 boats representing 8 nations took part in the 2022 RS Feva European Championship held on Lake Lipno in the Czech Republic (25-28 August 2022). IRSFCA chose this location for the second time for its excellent accessibility in the heart of Europe and ideal lake conditions.

However, during the four days, the regular wind flow was affected by storms and so 6 races were completed in 6-12 knots of wind. The racing was very tight and many tactical battles could be seen on the water. A very important factor was to start on clear air in a fleet of 79 boats.

From the start of the event, the Italian crew of Diego Severi – Vittorio Collini clearly dominated, winning not only the overall ranking but also the U13 category. We will surely hear about them again, soon!
For the silver and bronze medals, the Czechs Petr Pelnář – Matěj Červeň and the Estonians Kaito Hammer – Partel Orusaru were in a “tug of war”. The Czechs were more successful in the end, maybe because of the home-field advantage. The European champions in the girls’ category were the Křenek sisters from the Czech Republic.
