36 RS Feva teams took part in the 2019 NZL RS Feva National Championships sailed from the Torbay Sailing Club. After an informative pre-regatta training session and the promise of some great racing the sailors looked set for a terrific National Championship.

A total of 8 races sailed in some challenging conditions throughout the weekend. It was a tight contest at the top, consistent score lines from all top 5 teams making it a super close event. It was Blake Hinsley and Nicolas Drummond who took the Championships title, first ladies Molly Webley and Ella Parker finished their Championships with a top 10 result and the Ladies Champion title. 2nd Overall Simon Cooke and Oskar Masfen make the trip to the RS Feva World Championships in Italy later we are sure they will be hoping to take the RS Feva Worlds trophy back to New Zealand. Mattias Coutts and Aimee Bright finished in 3rd.
