Spanish Easter Training Camp

29^th March – 2^nd April 2013

Following an incredibly successful Easter Training camp in Spain last year we are happy to announce that we will be returning to L’Estartit again in 2013. This is a perfect venue for early Spring training and is a great opportunity to start training for the Worlds with the help of top class RS Feva Coaches. We are anticipating entries from all over Europe.

Entering

Please email gollytucker@googlemail.com to register your interest stating which option you would like and how many BBQ tickets.  She will then put your name down on a list.  There are only 20 charter boats available so it is imperative that you contact her straight away.  Charter boats will be allocated by nation on a first come first served basis. Entries for Options 2 & 3 will close on the 1^st November.  You will then receive an email on the 1^st November to confirm if you have a charter boat or not.   I know this may seem very early but you need to book accommodation early over the busy Easter weekend and flights are still at their cheapest.

Entry Fee

Option 1 : €150 – 4 days of coaching only

Option 2 : €350 to include charter boats and 4 days of coaching

Option 3 : £300 for GBR sailors using their own boat and having it transported by road to the event. These boats must be delivered to RS – address Premier Way, Abbey Park, Romsey, SO51 9 DQ by Monday 25^th March. There is space for a maximum of 5 boats on the road trailer. These boats will be driven straight home after the event.

Regatta dinner can be booked beforehand the cost is  €20 per person. Friends and family welcome.

Charter boats

Charter boats will be fully insured and will come with racing rigs and ropes.

Provisional Programme

Friday 29th March – Arrival and sort out boats. Welcome drinks

Saturday 30^th March – Training

Sunday 31^st March – Training

Monday 1^st April – Training followed by regatta dinner in the evening

Tuesday 2^nd April – Training and fun races followed by thank you’s and fun prizes.

Accommodation

Apartments Miami – highly recommended.  The price per apartment, per night, is 30€ (including sheets and towels for up to 4 people). The apartments get booked up early,  so book as soon as you have a place confirmed. Speak to Caroline Rannamets who speaks fluent English. The apartments are approximate 10 minute walk along the seafront to the Sailing Club.

Transport & Transfers

Ryanair fly to Girona

For those flying out to the event we will run a mini bus transfer from the airport. The transfer time is approximately 1 hour.  Please email Golly nearer the time to organise this.

L’Estartit is a very attractive area to visit if you are considering making it into an Easter holiday. Activities include a day visit to Barcelona, historical excursions, golf, mountain biking and for anyone interested in Scuba diving or snorkelling this area in one of the richest sea beds in the Western Mediterranean.
