NOR Champions decided! Regine & Carl!
After three spectacular sailing days in Moss, there was no doubt that Regine Tronstad and Carl Grefstad from Risør was the best team. After a hard fought series they pipped Tomas & Mads Mathisen (also from Risør) by 2 points despite the latter 2 clocking up twice as many inividual race wins! And then for the Risør hat trick Eirik Lundberg & Ingrid Smevold wrapped up 3rd place only another 2pts further back. First boat from the home club at Moss were in 4th Herman Bordal & Josefine Haakseth. Full Results. and photo album.

SWE – Epic tight finish to youth nationals
Hard to credit how tight and close the fight was at the end of the championship. The top 3 were only 1pt apart! But the weeks leaders Linn Dadell & Felicia Berglund took the title on a countback tie break (5 wins v 4 wins) from Johanna Frisk & Lewerin. Both of these were just the one point ahead of Frida Winzell & Sofia Lundgren (who amazingly took 5 wins themselves). The fight for 10th which was so tight yesterday went to Gustav Lindén & Måns Gustavsson. Whilst finishing in that most painful of places, 4th, Albin Pålsson & Simon Alm managed the consolation [...]
SWE – Youth Nationals – Mega days racing
The previously imperious Linn Dadell & Felicia Berglund let things slip a bit in the last 4 races but still lead by 3pts going into the last day and the last 3 races. The top 4 have all closed up and there are only 10 points between them. Big movers on the day were Frida Winzell & Sofia Lundgren currently in 3rd but with at least a hat trick of wins today. Johanna Frisk & Sofia Lewerin have been taking the steady, consistent route and are the jam in the sandwich formed by the above two. Fourth of this power [...]
SWE – Youth Championships half way through
Day 1 was hard with big winds and waves. Day 2 was hard because they did 5 races! Linn Dadell & Felicia Berglund dominate. All of the top 5 boats have scored at least either a 1st or a 2nd place! http://www.niklasnorden.com/rjk/jsmFeva_sharp.htm
UK Inland championships this w/e – Rutland
The UK can’t get enough championships. Each year the National Champs are on the sea so obviously you need an alternative for Inland. So they have an Inland Champs too. But by the end of the season it will have been several months since they had a championships so they have another one and it is imaginatively called the End of Season Championships! Anyway, with over 50 boats pre-entered Rutland SC will be a fun place this w/e! Saturday looks like it will be adrenaline drenched and Sunday looks a mite more tactical. Obviously not got a photo of the [...]
